SACtional Love
Sactionals, for us, have been the perfect piece of furniture. We wanted something modern that would last. It had to be comfortable, fun, and — oh yeah — easy to clean. Sactional is all that and more.

LoveSac is famous for casual, alternative furniture created by Shawn Nelson, Fox’s The Rebel Billionaire. LoveSac’s are filled with shredded Durafoam™, a memory foam that come in 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8 foot sizes. That’s a lot of awesome furniture! Our 6 foot sac is at my parent’s house because we needed some more space downstairs for the Sactional.

Sactionals were introduced in 2005 as a modular sofa. You can make several different pieces, a Twister, a play pen or just make it into a bed. Because of the memory foam bases, the Sactional is quite comfortable to sleep on which is good news to guys and for guests! Sactionals only have two pieces, a base and a side, that make up all these different combinations. The pieces clamp together to form a solid piece of furniture, quite awesome! G2 Sactionals, not compatible with the original Sactional, started selling after Christmas 2006.

Sactional covers are microfiber and can easily be taken off and washed. That comes in really handy with a snot nosed baby the height of the sofa, she loves to pull herself up on the side of the Sactional. We have several different covers or skins for our pieces because we got them from different places “gently used”. We have black (my favorite), red (lots of it), and a couple covers called Puppy Phur which really remind me of a stuffed stuffed polar bear I had as a kid. If you, or someone you know, has a Sactional and wants we trade (or knows where I can buy) different covers then let me know. While the Puppy Phur is fun, it’s not my favorite and I’d rather just have black. We have the first generation, G1 Sactionals, as they are known now. I’m kind of bummed because the new G2 Sactional pieces don’t fit with the original so we’re having a hard time expanding our set. But I think we have just about enough now. Because I love Sactional so much you’ll probably read about these again when we rearrange our furniture. As always, comments are always appreciated!

We saw this locally on Craigslist. We almost got a similar one, same amount of pieces but black, from Colorado. But we could never work out the payment and shipping with the seller.
