False Alarm

Here’s an update to those who may have heard about last night and are still wondering. :)

About 4 in the afternoon my braxton hicks contractions started getting a little stronger and seemed regular, so we decided to start timing them. We were at a friend’s house eating and playing games all evening, and while there they were about 30 to 45 seconds long and 3 to 4 minutes apart. We went home to put Kaisa to bed and I wanted to pack my bag just in case.

I started timing again while sitting at the computer working and they had increased to 45 to 60 seconds long and 2 to 4 minutes apart. This lasted from 10pm until 12pm when I decided to go to bed. I didn’t think I’d be getting much sleep, but almost the instant I lay down they went away.

Needless to say, I woke up this morning extremely frustrated and fed-up with being pregnant. I don’t understand how contractions like that could just go away!!

So here’s to getting induced on Wednesday…looks like that’s where we are headed. I am VERY disappointed about this because it’s going to make my natural birth a lot harder. Wish me luck!

P.S.  No, my baby is not 4 days old as the ticker says…apparently no one told baby namey that not all babies are born on their due date.  In fact, only about 5% or so are.  I’ll get around to taking that ticker off one of these days.

  1. Good luck! I hope your baby comes on it’s own before Wednesday! (I checked your list and I think I’m allowed to say that, right?)
