Nickels

Last week when I got home from the hospital, I was nursing Everett on the couch and had various supplies surrounding me (Boppy, water bottle, burb cloth, etc.) and among them was a tube of Lansinoh. Kaisa picked it up and this conversation ensued:
Kaisa: I want lotion!
Me: No, honey, that’s special lotion for mommy’s nipples.
Kaisa: Mommy’s nickels?
Me: (Trying hard not to laugh) Yes, honey, mommy’s nickels.
Ah, the joys of parenthood!
Um, why do your nickels need lotion? I don’t get it.
That is too funny. I love the way kids minds work. Always entertaining.
