More Bad News

This is the week from you-know-where.
Just got my letter from the MoTab, and it’s not good news. I’ll summarize the letter:
They received over 380 applications. They are unable to advance me and recommended 4 areas (out of 14) that I need to work on. Consistency of tone, Breath support, Breath flow, Pitch. That’s all I get. No descriptions or anything. They also recommend I consider getting a voice teacher to help me improve for next time. HA! I AM a voice teacher!
Anyway, I am very disappointed, but I guess it wasn’t really a surprise. I knew it would be really hard to get in and I’ll just have to try again next year. The worst part is that I feel like I’ve let all the people down that were so excited for me. Thanks for your support, everyone!

Once again, I’m sorry! That’s disappointing news. Just know that no one feels let down. We were alll cheering for you, but knew how difficult it was going to be. You have a beautiful voice! Just keep working towards your goal, you’ll get there!
gosh its like getting a letter from SIMON or something! no worries, Fiona, you are still one of my faves. and i am way proud of you. and i know you did better than i could. i better start preparing NOW for when i try out after my kids move out! ;)
You have a voice to be proud of! It makes me happy that you use your talent in your ward and community. I’m proud of you!
K This is so so random but I was googling different things about hale theater, uvsc, and stuff and came across your cute little blog. I am sure you don’t remember but we were in West Side Story together at HCT Orem a couple of years ago! I remember that we were both trying to get pregnant or something and it looks like you have 2 cute little kiddies! I read this post and I do remember from that show that you have a gorgeous voice… so I am sure you will make it next year. Anyways how random I came across this but feel free to look and me and my husbands blog. Also what does your husband do? isn’t it something with computers? My husband is a web developer and is in need of contractors to help him with excess work.
