In the words of John Lennon, NYC is the Rome of our time. There are several things that I love about NY. One is the food. You can take a culinary tour of the world by walking through the city. My fav place is a doener kebab house on the corner of 41st and 7th. Man, that's good eating. You can also go from the cheapest stuff (at inflated NYC prices, natch) to the poshest food imaginable. Second is the sights to see. You could spend a year on Manhattan and not see everything easily. Glad you loved it! The reason why it felt like you were at the center of the world is because you were.
