July 4th Cabin Trip
18 Jul
One good thing about Nathan not having employment over the 4th of July was that we got to stay at my extended family’s cabin in Greer, AZ with my parents. Every summer for as long as I can remember, my family escaped the Arizona valley heat for at least one week and went to the Allen Family Tree cabin in the White Mountains.
It was so fun to finally share this part of my childhood with my husband and children! Here are the highlights of our trip:
Johnny-jump-up + cabin porch = happy baby!
4th of July parade and fireworks in Show Low, AZ.
Playing in the creek with grandma!
Lounging around the cabin.
Despite the 11-hour drive each way, potty stops along the side of the road, and the occasional tantrum, we really had a great time and hope to go again soon!

Thanks for posting Fiona! I hope we get to have you there with us a few more times. I really enjoyed having you guys there with us. Kaisa and Everett make me smile. Next time we will make sure you guys see the sights in Greer before we take any adventure trips, I promise. Love ya!
I’m so jealous! I miss the cabin! Glad you guys had fun! Good luck with the job search. Have you guys thought about relocating?
I also want to mention how sweet it is that your mom comments on your blog and is so nice. I think my mom has only commented on my blog once, and it was just to say that I stole all the pictures she was going to post on her blog! I know she loves me, but I wish she would take a note out of your momn’s book!
