Dentist

We all went to the dentist this week…finally! Nathan hadn’t been since 2005, and I hadn’t been since 2007. Kaisa had never been! Here’s the verdict:
Fiona- 5 cavities (thanks to my last pregnancy), need a gum graft on one of my bottom teeth (they said I brush too hard)
Nathan- 7 cavities, needs a deep cleaning for pockets in his gums
Kaisa- chipped tooth needs to be filled in (it penetrated the 2nd layer that is prone to decay), no cavities that he could see
All in all we’ll be spending over $500 on dental work in the next few weeks. Yuck!

Wow, that doesn’t sound like fun. I’m a strong believer of regular 6 month dentist visits. Not that it prevents everything but it’s just pretty overwhelming to have so many cavities at one time. Hopefully your dentist offers gas. :)
they always tell me i brush to hard.
Hi,
thanks for the healthy tips.
I like very much your blog. This is nice collection and references information.
I don’t think it’s been since 2005! I went to Dr. Crawford when you did in 2007 and really didn’t like it. They did a filling that didn’t sit right and was painful and sharp. Anyway, everything is pretty small, I am a good brusher now. I learned from my teenage years.
When I went in 2007 it was to my uncle Kent. You didn’t go then. We both went to Dr. Crawford in 2005…no, I think it was 2006, actually.
Well, I would have to say $500 dollars does suck, but It can be so much worst. I know from lots of Soda… lots of Soda…. and $5200 at the dentist office over 3 months. Previously I had not had Cavity for like 5 years.

Its good that you all went to see the dentist and are getting dental treatment before they become even more problematic and costly.
